Fun Park - Wonderla

More excitement for the kids required, here we can recommend the amusement park Wonderla, at the outskirts of Bangalore in direction Mysore. From Bangalore it can take 1-2 hours to reach depending on the traffic. From northern parts you can try the road over Neremangala and over the Tumkur road and the NYCE highway both toll roads with smooth traffic. After you have seen India from all sides, traffic, villages, highways and your kids have asked 100 times when you

will reach it is a pleasant excitement to enter the gate and come to the entrance. The first impression is clean and well organized. Tickets are about 600INR per person, which includes free rides on all attractions as often as you want. Compared to the close by Innovative Film City fun park where you pay a small entrance and then for each ride a much more pleasant concept, without having a permanent fight with the kids how often they are allowed to ride. The attractions are nicely balanced for different age groups. You find from once merry-go-round and jumping castles for the small till to spiders with overhead hanging and big wheel rides for the big one. The number of attractions is good to have the whole day hectic to explore all. Beside the dry rides there is also a pool section, with plenty of slides and a wave pool.  The dress code and the crowd were a little strange for us, but kids had fun. For the small once below 4 I would not go only for that part of the park. What really surprised us positive was the good maintenance of the whole park from the landscaping, the liter collection, the lockers and toilets till to the safety aspects of the rides. There are also several restaurants to feed the crowd, there is simple Indian food like tallies from north or south India served, the food is fresh, good tasting and served in sufficient quantity and for an affordable price ( app. 100INR). In between you have benches to rest have a coffee or ice cream and before the kids pull you to the next attraction you realize that the time has gone fast and that the drive home should start. On the way back you have one problem less because normally the kids feel asleep soon.
