TV connection

TV connection is in city limits easy and well organized. Wide range of channels will be provided through private service providers like Tata Sky or Airtel TV. Here you get local and international channel and even 4-5 international HD channels.
To get it is quite well structured; you buy the set top box in any electronic outlet without any document. You will recognize the outlets easily, because they place point of sale adds nicely visible. Over a service line of the selected service provider, which are printed on the box, you can fix an appointment, when the
service team should come to install the dish. Normally they service people are quite in time, -+ 1 hour is good in India. After installation you have to recharge your account. It can be done over phone or online even with credit card or in selected shops direct over the counter.
Activation of additional channels or status information can be done over mobile via SMS, all in all a convenient way to get you connected. Only the long periods with commercials are disturbing, but that is the same in all countries.

Alternative is to have a recorder in between - some of the set top boxes have that feature, or the DVD. DVDs you get in electronic shops or book stores with international movies as VD, DVD or blue ray for reasonable prices compared to international standards. On the road side you also get DVDs, also cheaper, be careful that are pirated DVDs and the quality is 50% scrap.
With all that options a nice TV evening is possible, enjoy.
