Each of those accommodations has its pro and cons and has to fit to the needs of the preferred life style.

Beside the type of the accommodation the location is everywhere in the world an important selection factor, for the own commuting and for the preferred neighborhood. The location of the work place and the schools or kindergarten is determined by the job and school preference and the neighborhood aspect can be supported through our experience as specialized agents.

Flats; have the advantage that the maintenance is reduced to the own residential needs, often the landlord has service providers for the common features like water, electricity, white goods. This lead for sure to plus points for persons, who travel a lot or people without intention to spend time for maintenance. On the other side the privacy can be a little less or the noise level can be higher. Difficult to find but available are flats with big usable balconies or terraces or flats in quite areas. High end apartments, which cover one complete floor or penthouses are attractive possibilities but rare and high priced. 

 

Independent city houses; are a good way to experience the real Indian life with all its sounds, smells, activities, vendors - for sure a very authentic way. But here most important is the location to get the other preferences like green, privacy, quietness and the chance to have your freedom to walk around also covered. In that fast growing environment  the former residential areas are getting more and more commercialized, in the center more multi-level buildings coming up and that typical India bungalows with lots of green around in a quite side lane are disappearing more and more. The further outside areas are often not that developed for the western needs and have seldom that old trees around typical for Bangalore center.

 

Walled communities; are solutions to have the close environment also planned and controlled. The realization of that principle differs. Some communities are ready built others are sold as land and the time and style of building the houses is varying and can create a never ending construction activity. Also the size is quite different from some 10 houses up to 200-300 house communities can be found. Some have club facilities with sport facilities (tennis, gym, pool …) and restaurants others have nothing. Best known high end communities in the past was Ardasch Palm Meadows with a well laid layout, one of the best clubs but in the meantime the houses have come a bit in the years. The club, the possibility to walk around or let the kids play and the reduced traffic within the compound are for sure the biggest plus points of that communities. Therefore it is a very popular kind of residential living form for the Bangaloreans. On the other side is the environment not 100% the Indian way of life and thus not the best way to experience the true India, some communities are quite sterile and could be located anywhere in the world.

To summaries, the types of accommodations are the same like in other places of the world, the style, quality, size can fulfill the international needs, with a little Indian touch. The selection should be determined by the personal needs, family status and the location (the traffic situation should be never underestimated; 5km can take a long time) and a good and fair agent can assist you to find your new home. Because of the very vibrant life in Bangalore the new home should be a place of rest and recharge.
